Our US made thick stainless manifold washers have the convex front, but it is the concave portion on the back side that is relevant in assembly. There is an engineering reason why the back side is concave and that only the edges of the circumference load against the intake and exhaust header contact surfaces. Convex front and concave back is not an arbitrary result in the use of a heavy press during manufacturing. Anything can be manufactured and pressed flat or with a radii. The radii on the front and back is built into the stamping die deliberately and planned in the Nissan tooling design. If Nissan changed the design later it is most likely because the contact surfaces on newer vehicles are all machined surfaces and not cast. Ask yourself if Nissan knew what they were doing when making the original manifold yokes exactly like ours are made, before you believe everything you read on the forums. At any rate these work perfectly and are affordable.
