Knob Manufacturing

All knobs have been replicated using the same processes as the original Nissan counterparts. All are injection molded, have aluminum inserts placed in the mold prior to injection and the only change is in the material we use. The original knobs were a Bakelite plastic and if dropped they would crack as they were extremely brittle in nature. In addition, if you used a screwdriver, in the attachment hole, that was a bit to large, the twisting action when tightening could chip the plastic away ruining the knob. Our space age material is not only stronger, but will not fade when exposed to the Sun's UV. See part number 1826 for front detail and back side for the insert. Over $30,000 was spent recreating almost every knob in the car. So please understand that most of what you are paying for is the tooling costs involved in a massive project to get you good looking parts that are not only stronger, but no longer made by Nissan. Besides, Rallye Roadster charged a boat load for the original knobs that did not carry any warranty whatsoever that every knob we sell comes with.
