Datsun Roadster & Fairlady Short Bump Stops For Super Comp Springs & Other Spring Sets

Datsun Roadster & Fairlady Short Bump Stops For Super Comp Springs & Other Spring Sets AFTER MARKET USA

Height of this bump stop:  1.500 Shorter than the Datsun Comp lower bump stops. If you still want to whittle away on your 54 year old bump stops, best to do it with new ones as opposed to doing it on a dried out old ones. The Bob Sharp note about trimming was done when the bump stops were new and the correct durometer Mike.

Why waste your time trimming your old, dried out, hard stock bump stops? Because an engineer tells you too? Stock, natural rubber bump stops have years of rubber hardening which no longer allows the bump stops to be "progressive". These NEW bump stops are .300 shorter than the replica short Nissan Comp bumps shown at part number 1890. (SEE 2nd photo). Compare the two bump stops. These new bump stops provide extra clearance between the top of the bump stop and the bottom of the control arm that is needed when using any shorter spring. When used with our upper spring seat part# 1289 your clearance with this bump stop will be around .600 if you are using the 2113 Super comp spring. If using the Mike Young, Mike Young II, 2103, 2107, 2116 spring sets the clearance will be around .843. So this bump stop alleviates the problem of cutting any bump stops at all for clearance. NOTE: Always run bump stops. Never leave them out as the suspension can over travel and damage the tie-rod where it passes through the frame.
