Do you want to win Best Of Show at Solvang! Want your car to have a faithful genuine looking reproduction part? This is "THE" knob for you

Take notice that our knobs are displayed so you can see the complete shape and that the top crown is in full view and not turned away from view to hide any design imperfections.

This is not some artists rendition of the original knob. This is a True Replica Shift Knob. When we say "true replica" we mean that dimensionally, its external and internal construction, has been matched very close in every detail to the original Nissan knob. Look at the 2nd photo half section Nissan Knob. We work really hard to get it original, get it right!

SPECIAL NOTE: Although not original, we created another variant for use of this Late style knob on  Early 1600 cars 65, 66, 67  with proper SAE threading as opposed to the stock, as delivered round knob, which as we all know becomes tiresome in your hand when shifting. Choose the " E" variant  for early SAE shift lever threaded cars.

Take your old knob off of your car and look closely at our knob and make your comparison. We made a lot of effort to achieve the original look and construction of this knob in detail.

11 COLORS / 1 ALTERNATE BOTTOM FITTING AVAILABLE:  BLACK / RED / WHITE / GRAY / BLUE / RACING GREEN / SORA BLUE / ORANGE / YELLOW / PINK / INTERIOR RED /  BRASS BOTTOM FITTING   Colors can coincide with interior colors or exterior paint jobs.

History: There were 3 Nissan knob variants over the years that we know of. The 1st, which is the one we replicated, is the knob that came with the cars off the assembly line. It can be identified easily by looking at its profile, which has a continuous radius, from the top of the crown to the end of the bottom chrome fitting. The 2nd knob, was a later production Nissan replacement, that looked very much like the original, except the chrome fitting, is much narrower at the very end of the fitting with a subsequent  drop off in radius not matching the continuous radius of the original. The 3rd variant is similar to the 1st with a slightly different radius on the bottom fitting.  All have the characteristic crown at the top we come to identify with this part.

We replicated the 1st variant of the Nissan part using a Deltronic comparator to make sure all the dimensions were correct, created a drawing and followed it dimension by dimension. Here is what we worked to achieve:

1) Correct overall length from top to bottom 2) Correct height of the plastic area 3) Correct height & radius of the bottom chrome plated fitting. CNC machined with beautiful threading 4) Correct and proper top crown radius, when properly done distinguishes the look we all know 5) Side profile, continuous radius from the top of the crown to the end of the bottom fitting matching the original 6) Proper bottom fitting dimensions to achieve the exact gram weight of 123 grams matching the original and the proper internal top knurl with flange that will not allow the fitting to turn or drop out. 7) Our knob includes the 60 durometer rubber material used for vibration dampening and heat absorption inside the hard molded piece like the Nissan original. (LOOK AT THE 2ND PHOTO OF THE HALF SECTION OLD NISSAN KNOB & THE 1ST PHOTO OF OUR TRANSPARENT CLEAR KNOB SHOWING THE INTERNAL PARTS AND THE FINAL PRODUCTION PART WITH A CLEAN PARTING LINE BETWEEN THE PLASTIC AND THE FITTING) If you want a solid plastic knob, like how these knobs were done in the past by others, just put it in the notes at the time of purchase.

As usual, US made Vacuum casted with UV Resistant hard plastic materials. We have been making UV resistant knobs for 25 years. We have been working to make this part properly for a long time and now its here!

* I'm a big Lionel train fan and in the 1950's, Lionel came up with an all pink train for the fairer sex. I thought I'd  do the same with this knob for any women out there who own a roadster and want a feminine touch.
