Datsun Roadster & Fairlady Heavy duty distributor silicone wire set- Blue

Datsun Roadster & Fairlady Distributor Heavy Duty Wire Set - Blue AFTERMARKET USA

The standard in the automotive industry, NGK ,is that if a wire set is made of only 7 percent silicone the manufacturer can call it a silicone wire set. Our heavy duty distributor wire sets are made of 100 percent silicone wire with braided silicone wire & silicone boots.
NOTE: These custom, exclusively made for Datsunparts.com, wires are made to the correct length as per the original Nissan cylinder positions on the distributor cap. Lengths were calculated with the #1 wire in the 11:00 position when looking down at the distributor cap from the passenger side of the car. If your distributor point cam or drive gear, below the distributor housing, are 180 degrees out then simply switch either of these parts 180 degrees from their current position to achieve the correct #1 position on the distributor cap. Firing order is 1-3-4-2. -NON RETURNABLE-

Instructions for flipping distributor point cam 180 degrees: Remove the two screws that hold the vacuum advance in place and lift the vacuum advance arm off the pin on the breaker plate. Remove the two screws that hold on the breaker plate and the distributor cap indexing hooks. Take note that the hooks are different. This last instruction does not apply to later distributors with the hook attachment points on the distributor housing main body. Spread the points open to lift off the breaker plate. Loosen the screw in the center point cam and lift out the point cam. You are going to turn this point cam 180 degrees from its prior position and re-assemble. But first. If you have a 7.5 cam, flip the two springs to the opposite distributor advance weight. Be careful with the springs so you don't break or stretch them. If necessary clean and lube the shaft and all the pivoting point etc of these moving parts. Reassemble all the parts. Your # 1 lead is now in the 11:00 o'clock position.
